Akin is an English and Literature graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, a Registered Practitioner of Advertising (rpa) and Member, Federation of African Public Relations Agencies (FAPRA).
His work experience spans Rosabel Leo Burnett where he won several laurels as a high flying copywriter working on such brands as First Bank, (especially the centenary campaign), Society for Family (SFH), Gala sausage rolls, IGI, etc.
In THISDAY Newspaper where he was Editor of the Campaign section of the publication, he distinguished himself as one of the nation's leading brand analysts.
Akin has popularised the brand concept in Nigeria with his indepth writings and publications which include HotNumber, Brands and Products, and M2. He is also responsible for initiating the original Brand Nigeria campaign having conceived of the first and second pre-conference roundtables which received popular acclaim.
Akin is a regular speaker at marketing; PR and brand related events and spearheaded the entry of the Global Marketing Network into Nigeria. |
